Hello, I’m Noah! A designer, problem-solver, and lifelong-learner. As a child, I enjoyed puzzles like the Rubik’s cube, built puzzle boxes from Legos, and learned how to 3D model through YouTube videos. I gained confidence in my ability to learn new skills and use those skills to achieve my goals. Before long, I saw the potential to apply this passion to a professional career, design.
I graduated from UC Davis with a Bachelor’s in Design and another in Communications. Although I was busy in the classroom, I argue that I learned even more on my own time as I pursued personal projects and worked as a freelance designer.
In my college years, I had the opportunity to participate in the Disney College Program twice. For my first program, I worked at the Disneyland Resort, and for my second, I moved across the country and worked at the Walt Disney World Resort. These experiences taught me valuable lessons and further deepened my love of storytelling. They also spoiled me with time in the Disney Parks, so now if I ever daydream, I’m likely on Space Mountain.
By a few strokes of luck, I was discovered by a film production company, Pro Machina, through a passion project I’d created (long story). Since that fateful connection, I’ve had the privilege of working on some incredible projects, such as “Alien: Romulus” and “Fantastic Four: First Steps” to name a couple. In fact, there are even more that I’m sworn to secrecy about, but when the day comes, I’ll happily share.
I’ve also gained experience through the years working as both a freelance and an in-house designer. Regardless of the capacity of my position, I approach my clients with a strong sense of empathy so that I can both solve their problems and provide them an exceptional experience. This has allowed me to build a consistent base of clients that come back to me time and time again, and I am very grateful to have them.
My unusual background and mixed experience has taught me that my career path isn’t a straight line. It’s unpredictable, with amazing surprises waiting around every corner. I’ve done things I would’ve never dreamed of, so now, I try to dream bigger.
